The Start of My Next Journey
To say that I am nervous to move on from my college career would be an understatement. I have found that I am so comfortable with the way that my life is right now and am having a hard time imagining that anything could be better than what it is right now. But in addition to the nervousness and the uncertainty, I am so unbelievably excited to start doing full time research in a field that I have fallen in love with. I am excited to meet so many new people and expand my network of individuals.
After I graduate in May I am hoping to get a position in a lab. I’m having back and forth thoughts about where I want to go and what kind of research I want to do. My first question to myself frequently is does the field that I go into after undergrad really matter? Is any experience good experience? These are questions that I hope to get answered in my final months at Keene State College.
After gaining some experience in the research lab I am hoping to go back to school to get my pHd. This is something that I know I have wanted to do for a long time and finding the necessary stepping stones to get there has definitely been a journey in its self. But I am feeling optimistic for the upcoming weeks.
I thank Keene State College for the amazing four years that I have had here, it was the most amazing experience. Also, a HUGE shoutout to the KSC chemistry and biology departments for the amazing education that they have provided me. I feel that I am leaving this place with so much knowledge that I can share with the world.
